      Thanks, lots of people like steam trains but they are filthy things when you see them like this.

  3. Love steam trains. Remember as a kid, running along the old steelworks bridge, as a train was passing beneath and hoping to arrive just as the steam was rising so that we could run through it. Great memories.

      David,
      Thanks, I only caught this one by luck, and by luck I had a camera with me. I am with you, it is the smell and the noise and the visual power of cranks and pistons, then there is the smell of hot oil. Diesels don’t do it for me.
      No I am not a train spotter.
