Fan Ho.

Fan Ho was born in Shanghai in 1937 then moved to Hong Kong with his family. First using a Rollieflex twin lens then a Leica now presumably a digital camera of some sort.

According to Wikipedia,

“Fan Ho developed his images in the family bathtub and soon had built up a significant body of work, chronicling Hong Kong in the 50s and 60s as it was becoming a major metropolitan centre”.

He has been called the Cartier Bresson of the east. Photographing in Hong Kong his street photos show an astonishing use of light / shadow and composition and the ‘decisive moment’Screen Shot 2013-07-29 at 20.27.42
